| Locrian - Falling Towers / After the Torchlight C40 (Limited Edition Cassette) Black Horizons BH39 |
"I'm very pleased to present this new release from Locrian, adding to their impressively solid discography. It sees them as a three-piece with the addition of Mr. Lemos, and a bit of a thickening up of their now trademark sound on these two tracks. Shards of guitar improv, blackened howls, buzzing electronics and a constant progression through many chilling and evil zones. Audio is played in reverse on b-side, for perfect sound symmetry. Silver ink on black with silver and blue glitter metallic paper. J-card is 7-panels. Edition of 200 copies on hi-bias chrome tapes. "

| Aemae - And Tongueless, I Can Conjure You At Will C20 (Limited Edition Cassette) Black Horizons BH37 |
"Over the last few years Brandon Nickel has been honing his sound and making a name for himself with the, as of recent, very impressive Isounderscore label. Not afraid to embrace technology, Aemae sounds is at times restrained, and at times a whirling maelstrom of ones and zeros, yet always carefully constructed, each release taking months of editing and re-editing. Here the sound falls into the later, more intense mode of Aemae, and a fitting way to retire the name, as Mr. Nickel is using his own name to perform under. Comprised of edited live material, yet the heightened composure is still evident. The a-side is a lot of gear, screaming at each other more or less really, digital mulch. The flip offers a slightly more restrained sound, and could be visually compared to a sheer obsidian cliff on a foreign planet where the air is ten times the density of our own planet, the geological formation slowly rising along the horizon until it falls off the edge."

| Six Heads - The Popeye Scat C40 (Limited Edition Cassette) Black Horizons BH33 |
"This cassette moves with surprising fragility and restraint for a six member experimental project, the sound infected with a surrealist vibe, not too dissimilar to the audio equivalent of a Tanguy painting, or maybe Mlehst on quaaludes. Floating through blue green vapors, only occasionally does concrete reality come to the forefront. Two sidelong tracks filled with alien instrumentation, and title appropriate tape collage. Few releases and some high profile collaborating make this a release to investigate further. Color digital printed three panel transparent j-card, and a one panel unique art for each copy, floating orchids over rainbow blood on gray cardstock. Silver labels, black hi-bias chrome tapes. Edition of 100."

| Anakrid - Ceaselessly out of a Cloudless Sky C31 (Limited Edition Cassette) Black Horizons BH28 |
"The third and final tape for Anakrid on Black Horizons. As per Mr. Bickel's usual unexpected style, expect to be surprised. The a-side is what I would come to expect from this project, an impressively composed piece of deep analogue dark ambiance, while the flip is a bit of a change up, where this project's often latent violent underpinning is fully exposed in a 15 minute piece entitled acidpianoharp, consisting of a harsh acoustic assault on the ears, thousands of tiny sounds strung together to form a swarm. Packaged in the Anakrid for BH tape style, consisting of a color transparency layered on top of various marbled pieces of paper. This time with the addition of a vertical transparent floating OBI, all held in place with rivets. Edition of 100 copies on BLACK hi bias chrome tapes. Silver labels with the Black Horizons color touch. "

| the North Sea - Royal Arsenal C20 (Limited Edition Cassette) Black Horizons BH27 |
"Two ten minute tracks come smeared across this tape from Brad Rose's The North Sea. Drone music, slowly shifting, and peppered with acoustic folk-oriented instruments and percussion, hinting at this artist's background, but obviously looking forward to a drastic change in sound that is obvious from his recent releases under this project as well as activity in Ajilvsga. Color digital printing on a royal arsenal of metallic vellums; silver, gold, plum, purple. 2-panel j-card, 1 panel of real marble, an internal horizontal OBI, and silver labels. Edition of 100 on hi-bias chrome tapes."

| Wolfmangler - Cooking With Wolves LP (Limited Edition Vinyl LP) Black Horizons BH22 |
"This is the vinyl edition of Wolfmangler's CD release on Digitalis Industries, minus the bonus tracks. The core tracks of the release make for a perfect LP. This has been extensively written up all over the place, so I won't go into detail, expect avant folk by way of doom metal depression. All acoustic. Packaged in a silkscreened glue pocket sleeve, red and silver on black stock, same as the CD version, but with expanded art. Includes 3 inserts, screened in the same colors with printed labels. Edition of 500, 250 on black and 250 on red."

| Wyrm - aaf C40 (Limited Edition Cassette) Black Horizons BH21 |
"Sparse is about the best adjective one could use to sum up this release from Allan Zane's Wyrm. Much is occupied by wind sound and silence, broken up by abrupt tones, repetitive treated industrial loops, slowly swirling electronic pools, and hollow vacuums, but somewhere hidden among all of this there is a joyous kind of beauty and celebration that will bring you back for repeated listens.

"Not much to say about this really after a few years of it's being released, besides it was an excellent release then, that has, and will stand the test of time to be remembered as one of this era's synth classics. "Ball Crushing". 75 copies on red translucent vinyl, 30 on black that are leftover from the first press,
