Lot’s of people have been asking, so I thought I would address some of the questions that we’ve been receiving about our plans for SXSW 2012.
ARE YOU GUYS DOING ANYTHING SPECIAL?
No, not really. It’s our first year (first 6 months actually) living in Austin, so we’re pretty pre-occupied with getting settled and finding our way around. We won’t be participating in any music events, but I will be working at the festival in a completely unglamorous temp position (possibly working a cash register, but I’m not totally sure yet).
DO YOU GUYS HAVE A STOREFRONT? DO I NEED AN APPOINTMENT TO VISIT YOUR SHOP?
We do not have a storefront, sorry. If you go to the address listed on our website all you’ll find is a UPS store where we receive packages. In a few years we might think about doing a storefront for special events like SXSW, but it’s not very realistic right now.
I’M VISITING AUSTIN FOR THE FESTIVAL FOR A COUPLE DAYS. IF I PLACE AN ORDER ON YOUR WEBSITE CAN I COME AND PICK UP THE ITEMS FROM YOU IN PERSON?
Possibly, though I’ll be pretty busy with packing and shipping orders and making multiple trips to the post office and our UPS mailbox in the mornings and afternoons. Then, in the evenings, I’ll be working downtown until about 2AM. The best scenario would probably be to arrange to meet-up downtown around 5pm or so. That way I can just deliver your order bike messenger style and you won’t have to drive to south Austin (and I won’t have to interrupt my morning work routine trying to guide you to a decent meet up point between my house and the post office).
HEY, WANNA GRAB A TACO?
Sure, why not?! My favorite taco cart is on south 1st st., right next to End Of An Ear (a great record shop that you should visit while you’re in town). 1$ breakfast tacos rule.
That’s pretty much it, if you’re in town I hope you enjoy the festival. I’m looking forward to it as I’ve never experienced SXSW before, so I’m totally excited!
