QUICKSAILS / HEAD BOGGLE (DSCRMNT01032012)
And here we go with round three of the DSCRMNT 2012 Bonus Cassette Series! This time we have 2 tracks each from 2 of our favorite synth projects; Ben Billington’s QUICKSAILS, and Derek Gedalecia’s HEAD BOGGLE (or is it HEADBOGGLE???). Both of these guys are very accomplished musicians with several albums each on some of the best independent , experimental labels around (Digitalis, 905 Tapes, Spectrum Spools, NNA Tapes, Under The Spire, Deception Island, and Greedmink, ltd(just to name a few)). Quicksails opens the A side with some truly uplifting, soaring synthesizer and percussion work. It’s one of my favorite synth based pieces all year and makes me feel a certain sense of optimism for our future every time I listen to it. Headboggle takes the B side with his amazing signature blend of piano, synth blurps, and electronic noises. I believe the first part of this side was originally made as an assigned project for Derek’s Electronic Music class, and we’re proud to be sharing it with his audience outside of the classroom.

As stated earlier, this C10 will not be available for individual purchase on our website. This is a promotional item which will be added to customer orders on a first come first served basis while supplies last. The tapes are pro dubbed, imprinted, and packaged in a custom O-card.
